Fabrocini's is a favorite longtime neighborhood restaurant. Cozy and always packed with customers, this Mom and Pop establishment is always reliably good--whether for pizza, pasta, or meat parmigianas. They have a few different delectable eggplant dishes as well. You cannot go wrong here, folks!
They have great focaccia bread to start. I love their ravioli. It is delicate and delicious with Alfredo sauce. It is a small restaurant, but it's homey and they've had the same lovely servers for years.
Upon deciding where to have dinner this evening, I remember passing this restaurant for the last several years on Ventura Boulevard. I mentioned to my husband let's go try them out and are we ever glad that we did! Ian greeted us very warmly and we mentioned it was our first time there. My husband decided to get the chicken piccata. I had the chicken marsala, but I kept picking at his chicken piccata. I would definitely get that next time with the asparagus and broccoli. The chicken marsala was good, but I have to say my husband's dish was very tasty. There was a good amount of people there and it looked like these folks have been going there for years. We also noticed they were doing a lot of takeouts. We will most definitely will be back! Thank you, Ian for making it a lovely first time experience for my husband and myself. Carla & David
Casey and Rochell are the best the food was outstanding wine chicken parm Eggplant parm salad great I highly recommend
I'm giving this decades long Italian kitchen the benefit of the doubt due to its origins and legacy. 1) I used to eat at Fab's Pizza (on Reseda) (now Frankie's italian - also good) until it closed. 2) Then, I used to eat at this Fabrocini's before heading to a movie. I was just there two weeks ago, and was NOT happy with the long service delay (!) or the less than apologetic response of the waitress (PS: It's YOUR fault that you forgot my entree, not mine (don't gaslight your customers.)) But, because I want this place to keep succeeding (the valley always needs good spots), I will still give it 4 stars.. but it warrants 3.75 stars. Fix your service. Your food is still 4/5.
The food and service speaks for itself!!! Absolutely amazing. Once you try Fabrocini's you will keep coming back just like my family and I.
My family and I have been coming here for years, for the delicious food at reasonable prices, the great staff and the pleasant, cozy atmosphere. I particularly love the healthy entree salads from the large menu which offers something for everyone. It gets busy but I have always found it possible to have a conversation with other people at the table unlike the intolerable level of noise at some other restaurants. A special thank you to Jessica the terrific server who helped us last Thursday.
Fabrocini is located on the Venture strip in Tarzana, and though parking is available on the street, they also have a small section in the back. If the back is full, try and exit for the cheapest option, since there is a sectioned off area for VALET. Our server was extremely attentive, responsive, and easy to chat with. Jokingly after having a moment with the menu, I asked about their secret menu and didn't know it was a thing... I ended up ordering a Chicken Artichoke pasta, and it was AMAZING. The chicken was tender and the juices really sank in. The artichokes and greens were tasty, and the pasta was crisp and went down easy. Of course, Italian wouldn't be complete without bread and oil + balsamic, which I had stuffed myself with. Our group also ordered a Chianti wine, and it was a tasty botte. The wine was not too bold but not too sweet, a good balance of both worlds and well enjoyed throughout the duration of a two-hour meal - will definitely be returning!
Hidden gem! Yes, I will be back. Value! Fair price for generous food portions. 1st visit: Got some take-out, baked mostaccioli. It looked sooo good, decided to try eggplant parm and a little pasta with olive oil and garlic. Phenomenal! Great flavor. The eggplant parm was light... a far cry from other places that drown it in sauce. No no, this was a healthier eggplant parm. Grilled I believe, and just a light sprinkling of cheese and tomatoes... not a bunch of sauce. I would describe it as Californized Italian. The pizza bread was light and airy, nice garlic flavor. Love the friendly and knowledgeable staff too. 2nd visit: Fresh pizza bread is garlic heaven. Roasted peppers are served cold, topped with anchovy. BBQ chicken pizza is on point, and the red onion adds a nice, brite aura. Linguine and clams were delicious (no shells). Caesar Salad is fresh.
My husbands aunt lives about 5 minutes from this restaurant and while in town she said we had to come to the best Italian in LA. With that kind of review I knew we were in for a treat. She made us reservations for a Wednesday about 5pm and were easily sat and they had our table already set up. The restaurant is quite small maybe 12 or so tables and the kitchen is right there so you can small the heavenly aromas nearby. First off, let me tell you about the complimentary bread basket. It was by far the best garlic bread I've had at a restaurant. So fresh and full of flavor. Probably the best part of my meal. As for dinner I ordered a side Caesar and the Tuscany chicken. The Caesar salad was to die for. Full of garlic just like I like. The Tuscany chicken was good, the chicken was a little dry but over all full of flavor. It was a great foodie experience and would be back however, I will say the service was a little lackluster. Our server seemed to be bothered anytime we asked for a refill on our drinks or had questions, so that's a reason I knocked a star. He could've been overwhelmed so I'm not going to take it too personal.
